removing bathroom wall tile w/o killing the drywall?

That’s only part of the walls. I got a fiberglass tub and surround also. I used drywall for the ceiling and walls. I actually used 8’ tile boards that I cut down to 4’ and used that as the lower part of the wall. Wipes off clean and less prep work to the drywall. Also cheap and gives you the ceremic tile look. They have a decent cariety of them at home depot.

from my experience, i’d rather work with fresh new drywall and only have to sand joints than skim-coat the whole thing (or worse).

Jeller was saying the other day that they should just charge you $150 to walk in the door there, 'cause you know you’re gonna spend that much every time you go in there. LOL

X…

no fucking doubt

thank god for 6 months interest free.
oh, and if you call them and ask nice, they will extend it to 12 months

I know CC modding the house is a little better than the cars, but still it’s not a good idea.

X…

were all just trying to get on the mods good side

smooch

personally, id start over as far as drywall is concerned… Becarefull with the CC though…it gets you in trouble. Have a set plan! My little bathroom remodel…well what was supposed to be just an “update” turned into this because of the HD CC…lol

that turned out nice.

so i pulled all the old walls out this weekend, and found steel lines in the walls :bloated:
theres copper in the basement, but when it made to the turn to go up the wall they left the old plumbing. anywho just finished the copper last night and need to toss in the new tub and start hanging green board.

before pics?

my camera was dead.

the tile was this nasty pinky brown color, and the floor looked like some one blew chunks on it. it was that old speckeled shit white base with fruit stripes colored spots. yeah, it was hot.

hanging green board… No! (and dont make me drive my truck over your house)and if your going with tile in the wet area use hardibacker.

you’re just crazy with this cement board, but if you’re going to drive your truck over my house, please wait until i’m finished and have it reappraised.
