Rendezvous Paris... must watch. Ferrari 275 GTB

9 minutes long …

and when he pulls to a stop at the end, you see why he was in such a rush

I have seen this many times and its fantastic…i esp. like when he almost runs over the pedestrian  I can only imagine what the Ferrari looked like with cameras of that generation strapped to the bumper.

which pedestrian? he aims rigth at one while dodging around the garbage truck and goes over the sidewalk, and then he clips one REAL close while he whips around a corner

one or 2 others can be seen running across the street while hes barreling towards them

Yea, definitely a great video…thats one lucky bastard…Ferrari, Hot blonde and the ability to top speed through Paris.
a lot like miami vie except a lot less coke and a little more driving action:tup:

nice

crazy, reminds me of this video i saw once where this company took a supra and an escort cosworth and put every part you could buy on them to make them faster, and then ran them through london at night going crazy speeds and making crazy manuevers losing the cops over and over agian it was awesome

Am I the only one that wants to call bullshit on the video??? Some of it just doesn’t jive. If he was deep into 4th or 5th gear going into some of those turns, with the tires screeching like that, there is no way he would have the grip to make the turn as tight and precise as he is. Also, you fly past cars alot faster than that when you are going as fast as it sounds. Or maybe it’s just me…

Im with ya in this 007…he is not driving alllll that fast. The rate at which the scenery is goign by isnt that fast, and he isnt passing cars all that quickly either. The tires could easily be squealing going about 20 around the turns

LOL that vid is total crap. No way its real, Someone just added the sound to it.

lol, its like a real life sprint race from need for speed…pretty cool though

I’ll have to check it out when I get home.

The car used in this isn’t all that fast by todays standards. 280hp, with very skinny tires. But back in it’s time in the late 60s/early 70s when the car was made. I’m sure it was damn “fast”.

as always, google knows everything

physics + visable landmarks in the movie + mapquest = a breakdown of how fast hes going at various “check points” thru the movie

http://hypertextbook.com/facts/2005/Rendezvous.shtml

tire squealling is out of place in a couple spots

You have to take into account the video quality, the time, and the probably re-dubbing before it made the internet. The story surrounding the video is fact.

i do beleive the sound has been edited … if you watch, he comes of the highway, around a few corners, long straight away, then thru a traffic circle

as hes about to leave the traffic circle, down shifts three times, pauses a moment, and gets back on the gas … when he gets back on the gas, the OLD engine noise overlaps with the new engine noise

happens in one or 2 other spots in the first half of the movie too …

im going to have to assume that the soundtrack is from a track day, or enhanced by extra bits from a tack day

fake. I’ve been to paris, and they all drive 30-35mph… when you pass someone in mid 5th or even top 4th, your doing 100mph more than the car your approaching… you pass must faster.

Also the camera doesn’t dip at all… back in the day all cars had some body roll… this one doesn’t seem to have any.

dude, scroll up to where i quoted tour

click my link

shows how speeds were calculated

shows my the camera stays steady

wow that is very cool

nah, its on the net, i don’t have to believe it.
