Review: Rockauto.com (car parts store)

Not sure about the wholesale closeouts R/A has but I heard autozone will match their prices.

 to rockauto. pretty awesome prices.

Just ordered shit.
~20 bucks saved.

we ordered window regualtors from cappys a few weeks ago, both boxs were labeled as rockauto on them, so even the local stores are getting in on it…lol…

I have used them for probably 7 years with random car parts I have needed in the past. Their online catalog is the shiznit.

same company, Mid Atlantic Warehouse Distributor Inc. MAWDI, which is now Uni-select. they have a few places, but the one on Vickers (Ton.) is the closest. call cappy’s and quote rock auto’s prices, and you can go to Tonawanda (if you’re a shop, they don’t like customers there) or they’ll have it pulled if they don’t have it in the store.

ill have to remember that, most of our parts come out of tonawanda when we use them… but today was a bad day for cappys on out part, we didnt get a single right part all day…lol…oh well… we usually call the abbott store or the hamburg one right near us…

Just ordered pads and rotors all around for my car, saved some serious loot compared to local places and any where else i looked online.
I also found this, and it saved me a little bit more.

Coupon code: 20019291676825

5% off your order code must be entered in the “how did you hear about us” line of the shopping cart, click apply, and page will refresh showing discount.
the code expires on sept. 20 2009

I’ve been ordering from here for years, they’ve never once let me down. I’ve never even had to deal with customer service, simply because they’ve never screwed anything up for me

ot: i’m not sure how many people do this, but if i’m ordering anything from anywhere online, i always google “(company name) coupons”, and usually can find a discount code for pretty much everywhere.

World discount has some good prices as well.Autozone wanted like 24 for outer tie rod ends and like 35 for an inner.
rock auto after shipping was like 55 for all 4
world discount was like 46. for all 4
So try WORLD DISCOUNT. they have some cheap prices too.

They are pretty good too. Biggest complaint though is they’re only open bankers hours, so its a pain in the ass for people like me who work normal hours to get there.

bump… updated first post with the return outcome.

Bumpity, Just ordered 4 new Moog Balljoints for my jeep project.

Rockauto $185.65 (5% discount code i get for being a member on s10planet pretty much negated the shipping charge ).

Just priced them up at advance… 241.96 What. The. Fuck. I literally just saved myself 15.00 Per balljoint. Unless its a part i need ASAP. Im definatly not shopping from advance or autozone again.

Saving money and not having to deal with people with little to no automotive knowledge.

5

I’ve dealt w/ Rock auto and been happy
fyi Jay I feel for you as thats a suck job i did both on my f 150 not a fun time

I just got 2 window switches for the owner of the company I work for, for his Porsche and they were $8 each compared to $50 each from the dealer. Work great!

lets see how long it lasts. lol

I’ve used them several times and I have nothing but good things to say about them! I would recomend them to anyone.

Just ordered two Raybestos rotors and saved over $30 compared to buying locally, even after shipping.

Advance will price match them in some cases. Bring the printout and ask.

At least they have been for me. And go to the Advance on Niagara St in Tonawanda if you want to talk to people that know what they are talking about.

Got my stuff in today  They even tossed in a hotrod magnet :headbang: No more warped rotors and shaky stops.

^ What warehouse did it come from? I’m guessing not Tonawanda since you ordered on 10/15 and just got it today.
