rim repair and mesh polishing

soo I picked up a pair of meshies… needless to say… they weren’t in the best condition… and they both have curb marks… I’m wondering if anyone knows a good place w/ a fair price for rim repairs

I’ve also did some poslishing on one… now another question… how do you properly polish the mesh section? lol it’s soo annoying… any good way to tackle this? ty

how did u polish the rimm??? i wanna know!

Me too I’m interested…

Did you like sand it or use metal brush then polish or what?

you’re suppose to answer my questions! not asked questions!~

I dind’t use any sanding or metal brush…

if you see one of the pictures… there are black dirty towels…

I just used that and polishing cream from crappy tire…

now… I’m just having trouble with the meshy part…

lol they are to narrow for my fingers to polish em!

Tried something thin? How about ear cleaners? Cotton swabs? I dunno… that’s thin…

You’d probably end up using a whole box and spend alot of time though… just a random idea, might be a stupid idea, dunno… Although they might only really be useful for detailed polishing or something or not good for anything heh… try it… looks like it needs scrubbing more than polishing…

you’re saying those dirty marks on the mesh is just dirt and I just need some scrubbing?

lol

I’d try a large pipe cleaner spun with a drill

id use a dremel, or a rotary tool with the buffer.

or any large buffer will do.

oh yeah, and if you are using an electric spinning device (drill, dremel) make sure you don’t get the polish into the air colling vents, it facks up the motor very quickly. Don’t ask me how I know.

lol I tried a dremel already… it actually takes forever… lol if you can see
2 lines have been polished w/ that…
and the demel’s polishing head gets killed from the edges

easy fix…

send it to carcones auto recycling. ask for matt. tell him greg from overdrive sent you.

its generall 120 a rim for full straitening and refinishing.

they do a fantastic job… ill post pics of my bbs wheels when they are done
