Hey guys, I don’t know if this is the correct area to post this, but here I go. I was wondering if New York has any road course tracks, not just drag and oval? Both my cars would be worthless at the drag strip lol, so someplace just to go for non-competetive fun. I took the camaro to an autocross event last year which was fun, it was the first organized event I had ever took part in, unfortunately, I haven’t had any other oportunities since then.
Watkins Glen… Monticello… Prolly one or two I’m missing. There’s Lime Rock Park in CT, and Calabogie in Canada. I’m sure there’s more.
In order of proximity to Alb:

Monticello
Watkins Glen
New Hampshire Motor Speedway
Mont Tremblant
Pocono
fixed
and monticello does drift days!
And a little further away
New Jersey Motorsports park
Shannonville and Mosport (Canada)
There is a local group of us who organize and participate with PAtroon BMWCCA for Drivers schools ( non BMW’s welcome) , COMSCC for time trials and trackdays --and other groups like SCDA or PDA/NASA can get you on track.
LRP would be great for first timer. Very close to capital region and very easy to remember so you can concentrate on your driving instead of trying to figure out the circuit.
