this is how I see it.

Ford uses Manley H beams in the Cobra, Lightning, and the GT(40).

All of these vehicles have been tested, and proven to be stable in the 800-1000hp area (as long as your tune is good). Now you’re probably saying, theyre using the manleys because they got a good deal on them, probably so, if buying them in bulk. Between those three vehicles from the years of 1999-2005, I’d say theres probably over 150,000 SVT vehicles out there using Manley H beam rods. Now think to yourself, if they were a failing product, do you really see Ford wanting to issue out warranty work money over a part failure, that they could have easily prevented over the small savings they probably received from purchasing in bulk.

Take in effect though that 800hp in an 8 cylinder car would be 100hp per cylinder. That would only be 400 in a 4 banger.

Anyways I never saw any great numbers on Manley rods yet in a DSM. Doesn’t mean there aren’t any out there.

get the cheapest forged rod you can. They wont break as long as you dont start detonating putting pressure on them
