It takes a ton of time to get the $4000 to $5000 in sponsorships to run the show. With only 2 of us doing the show and website, it’s hard to work our full time day jobs, work on the site and show, and have a life. The cost of insurance, park rental, printing and advertising, awards, shirts, dj, ect add up fast.
We’re going to work on a few businesses to see if they want to sponsor the show (2009) so that takes most of the time consuming off of us. Know anyone?
With the rain, we still had some diehards come during it. Then after it cleared up we got even more cars. Our average was 400-500, but I think at the end we had about 160-170 cars. Not bad for a crappy start to the day.
Cant let the rain ruin a day. it gives you something to do afterwards, clean your car! i was impressed with the amount of people that showed up during the rain. By the way, thanks for the pics of all of our trucks by the water after the show. Is there any way to get high res versions of those??
