RodandPiston.com 6th Annual Super Cruise - Sunday July 13, 2008

It takes a ton of time to get the $4000 to $5000 in sponsorships to run the show. With only 2 of us doing the show and website, it’s hard to work our full time day jobs, work on the site and show, and have a life. The cost of insurance, park rental, printing and advertising, awards, shirts, dj, ect add up fast.

We’re going to work on a few businesses to see if they want to sponsor the show (2009) so that takes most of the time consuming off of us. Know anyone?

Sometimes 5am just feels real early.
Just got up and going to be heading out to the park to get stuff set up.

Hoping the weather stays decent.

wow, what a craptastic day.

id really like to come out today but if it stays looking like this, I doubt it.

me and my dad went. i think the rain scared everyone off

shit im pissed! i dident know this was this sunday

With the rain, we still had some diehards come during it. Then after it cleared up we got even more cars. Our average was 400-500, but I think at the end we had about 160-170 cars. Not bad for a crappy start to the day.

Already talking about next years show.

Pics will be up in a bit.

Cant let the rain ruin a day. it gives you something to do afterwards, clean your car! i was impressed with the amount of people that showed up during the rain. By the way, thanks for the pics of all of our trucks by the water after the show. Is there any way to get high res versions of those??

It was cool to see the die hards brave the rain and the people that came after it cleared up. Can’t have perfect weather all the time, right…

PM sent.
