RPM going down

Alright didn’t know how to call the topic. The car is a 1990 auto 240sx. My current problem is whenever I’m at a full stop (ie red light) and then as I step on my gas pedal, my rpm dips down. Dips down to 500 or even less. On rare occasions, it would dip down so low it would shut my engine down. The car is running rich if that any helps. I’ve been trying to figure out what the problem is before more snow falls.

Also…my belts are squeling a hell lot. I’ve already tightened them but it seems to keep doing it a lower rpm.

Thanks for all your help.

Dave
