exterior of my car is done and we all know that im putting all the money into the motor now and well i decided not to mess around with doing my exhaust anymore cuz im just going to pull the credit card out and buy a turbo kit, either Chill Factory or Hahn’s stage 2…
not looking to run no 20psi of boost or anything, i’ll be happy with around 8psi
im looking around at the prices right now and i might be buying it this summer, and turboing over the winter of course…

I always liked Hahn’s stuff, seemed very well engineered to me. I was looking at their turbo kit for my 2GNT Eclipse, but then decided it was too much money to waste.
Do it yourself, you’ll learn more about your car that way. I would have enough money put away to rebuild the motor though. If you start messing around w/ FI on a car not designed for it w/ a lot of miles, you’re asking for trouble. The kid that bought my Eclipse turbo’d it and promptly blew it up a few weeks later.

im going to build the bottom end, the 2.4 only has 82k on it, but im gonna get some new rods, bearings, pistons… and must buy the biggest damn fuel pump i can put on the car hehe …etc etc
i was also thinking about geting a custom kit like you said weaves, save alot of money on it too, but i wouldnt buy peice by peice. only way i buy a custom turbo is if someone made it into a kit and gave me everything i need to install it. since this will be my first time turboing an NA vehicle

Plus you can’t count on that anyway. My great grandma was dying for 5 years and when she did pass i didn’t see a cent from about 3/4 mill. My grandma got it all and i know when something important comes up in my life(marriage,kids,house) then i’ll get some money.
I didn’t mean do a custom kit, I mean buy the kit from Hahn or whomever and then install it yourself. Unless you really know what you’re doing, it would be way too much of a hassle to make one on your own.

The first gen neon’s w/ the turbo 2.4 engine fly, but I would never spend that much money on a car with such little value to begin with. If you do it right, you should run faster than me no problem.
why dont you just fix the shelby? or take the turbo setup off that instead of posting :bs: about your neon
cuz the shelby is getting fixed, i gotta put it back together and fix some body work and get it painted, no show car paint just some paint, jeff from try-1 said he’ll paint it
