Rubber Intake Piping/Turbo Inlet Problem?

hey im using my stock rubber intake piping for my sr20, i can barely get it onto my turbo inlet because the inlet is sticking almost straight up instead of out more, i can however get it on but the problem is i am certain that the rubber will melt because it will be sitting against the manifold, so my question is what is the best thing to do, i was thinking getting a metal adapter or something that would run from the turbo inlet to the rubber intake piping just enough to get it away from the manifold but im not sure, im sure you guys that have done sr20 swaps have had this same problem so please let me know what you did, thanks

Go to mopac and buy 2 45 degree bends. buy some couplers and cut and paste.

Why not clock the compressor side of your turbo?
