Why would someone start a motor outside a car? Except on a proper engine stand or motor dyno. Which i doubt he has. Most motors started just sitting there flop around like a dead fish the moment they are running. Not only dangerous but dumb becasue i will break shit.
Exactly this. Flash point of liquid gasoline is rather high. infact you can take a lit cigarette and drop it in a 50gal can of gas and it would go out!
Gas VAPOR or compressed gasoline is much lower, and could pop off. LIKE I SAID on page one… unless the can wasnt capped and it was hot out, expanding the container and letting vapors out, no way would it ignite.

THIS, my jetta in Darryls shop is literally 4 feet from a bunch of fuel cans, and I am welding the ass end every night for the last week! (also next to the fuel are 3 big extinguishers)
NOPE, I am old and wise… not dumb and stupid. Kids think its so easy to fabricate shit and get away with it sometimes.
