I say let’s keep it as a supercharger discussion. how to? tips and what not. we already have a lot of infos about turbos on Z32s, but not much on superchargers. outkast is currently in the process of supercharging his Z and will hopefully keep us updated with his progress.
I can start off by giving a general idea of superchargers on Z32s.
What is the supercharger and the idea behind it?
There are currently no supercharger kits for the Z32s, and that is due to the availability of the TT model.
this is a pic of the pro charger on a Z33.
This design is smaller than other superchargers and can be fitted easier. piping has to be fabricated for this application. from the air filter to the supercharger to the intercooler (highly recommended) to a Y pipe that connects to both throttle bodies.
It is very important to know that the VG30DE was not meant to be supercharged and that is due to its high compression rate. So after being done with the supercharging process, u won’t be able to run a lot of boost “from what i have seen 4-5 PSI max”.
Increasing the amount of air in the engine needs to be met with more fuel and spark. after supercharging the engine, an injector and spark plug upgrade is needed. A good upgrade would be replacing the stock NA 270CC injectors with the TT 370CC injectors. this should supply enough fuel for the application until more upgrades are added.
here is a shot of a supercharged NA. u can see the Y pipe going to the throttle bodies and the supercharger in the corner where the A/C used to be.

LOL The Z is by far the worst personal investment I have ever made…I bought the wrong Z car, had it serviced at the wrong dealershit, got caught up in a never ending quest to be “fast” as can be and have to sell my dream car because of it all. :tup:
I am deciding what to do next but I have a feeling its going to be a full weight luxury cruiser with pimp rims and a nice lower lip kit.
Trying to be faster than anyone else doesnt bring me joy, you break more, spend more $ and if you lose you dont like your car as much.
So its like this NA Z’s will never be fast

my plan within the next 1 or 2 years is get a stock 350Z and just be pimp with that and quick enough to be happy as a DD…u should do the same maybe g35
