So after not driving my car for like a week and a half I decide to take it out for a burn yesterday, and lo and behold, I blow one of my heater hoses. I was wondering if they are the same as the KA? I have the heater bypassed right now so I can still drive it, and I’ll prob just buy a chunk of heater hose to replace it because I don’t imagine the pre-formed ones are all that important.
I remember those hoses were JDM only and had to be ordered so I made them for the heater core and back of the engine
Thats what I figured, I don’t see why I can’t just run some ordinary heater hose rather than finding one with the proper shape.
Cause regular heater hose can’t take the sharp bends it probably needs. Unless you want to run big ugly loops of it.
napa and joint connectors are your friend. Ive done what you have done before on a CA. It sucks. Take your starter out for easy access you you will just get mad and take longer.
Starter? Isn’t that on the right side and the hoses are on the left?
been there done that, i just replaced it with generic heater hose and wide bends, seems to work fine, but my heater was never that effective, i think the solonoid or whatever is behind the dash that activates the switch is wearing out.
All I ended up doing was finding a piece of hose that was the same shape as the part that has the hole in it, cutting it off, putting in a connector and voila! New heater hose.
