S14 Black box

1995 S14 SE automatic.

Behind the passenger headlight is a small black box, about the size of a pack of smokes. It has 2 plugs leading to it, they have (I think) 6 and 8 pins or something.

Its right behind the battery by the windsheild washer filler neck.

I am curious what it does, as mine has a destroyed case/cover,

it is the dtrl module.

crsbb is right… it’s for you DTRL’s

primo, since the car left the factory with DTRL’s but no longer has them I have no worries.
