When:This past Sunday
Where:ECCN
What:WNY Event #3
Who: everyone in Astock(all 2 of them? i think hahaha)
sorry Zong, sometimes the one who gets 1 clean run wins…
lol zong and i did miserably, but he had FTD on me, but +2 cones
hahah i spun it twice, 1 time ending up 1 parking space from the little curb near the access road on the side only to put it in 1st without stalling and spin it back around and proceed to drift the entire last corner, excet i clipped a cone, barely with my the outside of my front fender. and i have it all on film…great(miserable weather) day. i think everbody there loved the course tho, it was fast and aggressive.
Too bad A stock was slower than H Stock, E Stock, and D Stock…
Two years ago. Because in B Stock they were running times that were good enough to win in A Stock. They are actually a really good match for the C4 Corvettes.
funny… what I saw was you trying to impress someone and doing a fairly poor job of it. lets see, you pushed to hard through the slalom and completely lost it, risking not only yourself, but your passenger, and your daddy’s car. and as for drifting the entire last corner, I saw you trying to hang it out, the car jumped back underneath you and instead of trying to take the turn fast you felt you needed to keep dicking around. good job.
hmm…i won my class? yet i still suck at driving? who are you? what did you drive? and oh yea, did you win?
congrats. if you did, but dont be an asshole when i am being brutally honest about how bad i was driving…when i am telling you how bad i drove, thats when you know i drove poorly. i dont need you to be MR. Adretti of nyspeed trying to tell me i cant drive. thanks for the thought tho…
tru-dat…this was THE FIRST RWD car i have ever driven, EVER, EVER. the only one…i am still getting used to it…and with an actualy alignment/new tires, i was trying to find its limits, which i did.
and i have been autoxing for 3 seasons now, so i feel it is dishonest to run ASN.
…granted, i probably could if i wanted to. but i dont need/want any handicaps…
Why should he run ASN? He’s been at it for 3 years. Last year was my first (incomplete) year, and since I was PAXing <20th place at half the events, I thought I’d jump out of novice too.
All in all, the conditions were variable the whole day on sunday, which is my pethetic excuse for hitting cones That last run was a 51.1 but with 1 cone, I came into the second slalom mid 3rd gear thinking I could wiggle through it. I completely forgot that the middle of the slalom got fatter.
BTW. I understand why Chris was a bit tailhappy, even with AWD I almost kicked a curb on my second run coming through the finish semi-sideways because it was that damn slick.
No way… Once you leave novice, you are no longer a novice, no matter what you are driving. I’d say after 6 events, you are no longer a novice. At least, that’s what I told my dad this year when he asked if he could stay in novice…
Besides, my setup has changed drastically three years in a row, and I’m not about to go slinking back to novice. You only get better when you run against the best. Which is why I’m glad we don’t have a pro class this year. Now I have to beat one of the top drivers in our region to get that 1st place. It hasn’t happened yet, but he’s been well within reach in three out of the first four events.
You want to talk about drastic setup changes - go from HS to SM. My times were shitty because my tires were NEVER warm, and I couldn’t get the car to stop. Azenis owned me that day, and by 2 seconds. Tup to Ron for getting what could be the worst Si ever made to run a 49 in those conditions.
Chris - you should tone it down a bit. 1st is a class is good, but 31/71 pax doesn’t get you bragging rights.
i have said in many of my posts that i was terrible that day. horrible, along with some of the other ocmpetitors in my class…i am not proud of how that win panned out, but it did. zong and i wer elaughing about how porrly we did and how we still were both in the hunt to win.
