SAFC Tunning Help.

Hey guys.

I was just wondering if anyone here can give me a hand programing my SAFC so I can get to the dyno ok. I won’t be dynoing the same the day of the install, and I know this won’t be perfect, but it’s just for a couple of days.

I know the norm is to set it at -27 across the board, the arrow up and pointing to the right but it’s the actual setting of the unit Im a little unsure of. I have the wiring diagram, the USA update and the manual downloaded in english but it’s always nice to have someone there who is really familiar with it and more importantly using it in there car.

This is the one I have,

Now I don’t have a wideband either so again, I don’t expect perfection in anyway. It will all be done right at the dyno.

So let me know if you can help me out here and if you would’nt mind coming by to do it with me.

Thanks a lot and have a good one.

Hey Bruce, I currently have that unit in my car right now…I can probably answer most of your questions.

Oh thing, you said you’ll be using a -27 correction…stupid question but I’m sure you have larger injectors right? 550/555’s?

If you are using the stok injector , just flat the correction setting to 0 .
You only use the - 27 % when using injector that are 27 % bigger than stock ( 370 off the sr ) .

Yeah I am using SR 370’s.

I just need help actually setting the unit it’s self.

Thanks for your help though guys and Happy, Im gona PM you with my number so we can talk.

I appreciate this a lot.

Well Im still waiting on Happy to get back to me but I would appreciate any other help with this too.

Isn’t there a manual for this thing and a brief how to that comes with
this product? I’d try some other forums to see how they did it. :dunno:

Shit…sorry Bruce…i’ve had a crazy few days…and now I’m off to a cottage.

If you still need help send me a note and I’ll contact you Monday evening.

you really need a wideband to tune your car safely,

i have a safc-2 and its basiacally the same thing what exacally are you looking to do

Hey that’s great Happy, for sure call on Monday when you get home and we’ll talk.

DTS, well I know a wideband is the proper way but I don’t have one and I don’t know anyone around that could lend it to me. All Im looking for is how to have someone come by and program the unit for me and explain it in a way that’s more easy to understand then the manual. As I said above, I am just looking for a little tune untill I can get over to the dyno.

So if you guys can let me know, that would be really super.
