I’m betting you wouldn’t want a car for handling period. A Saleen Mustang is a very capable track car. Not saying its worth the money, but for someone who does want a car for handling it fits the bill.
Terminator held its own in track tests against an S197Saleen, and considering you could buy 3 of them for the price, it can definitely be made to out handle a Saleen.
And why just consider Saleen? The Roush is a better overall vehicle, specifically for handling on the track.
In his Good Bad and Ugly DVD he did Roush vs Saleen. They have a full comparison of them all in different episodes of TG too.
03-04 Cobra w/IRS > S197 Saleen
I am also biased in favor of the 03-04 cobra looks, best looking mustang since the 68 fastback IMO
