Bracketracer - do you know what the property taxes are like? From what I could tell they are very, very low compared to here.

I just got back from spending 5 days there and I liked a lot of what we saw, and I’ll definitely need to start skiing again.

I rented most of the time I was out there. Decent area in North Midvale (suburb south of SLC). It was a side by side duplex. About 1500 sq ft. per side. I just checked property taxes. $2k/year. So yeah, about a third of what I pay now for my 1500 sq ft house.

And yes, skiing there is a must. Truly the best I’ve experienced.

SLC is awesome. I have been there a bunch of times. That is all I can contribute to this thread. lol
Oh yeah, car requirements: You have to buy the largest/most expensive pick up truck available, put a 6" lift on it and get huge tires. Definately some sweet trucks out there.
