saxons 335i daily driver thread

Did you buy yours new? I think with some of the commonly known problems (HPFP is a good example) people get scared of reliability problems when getting to higher miles, but I’m thinking they will be solid with normal maintenance. Hell, the common stuff was covered under warranty anyway…

Thanks for all the info guys

Fixed the comfort access and next will be the headlights

What was wrong with it?

im not sure, i just did a battery reset and they both started working? thinking it might be time for a new battery

have any of you guys used jb4? it seems that it can be tuned with a custom map but im just not sure on how much is end tuner friendly compared to AP

Your headlight leveling… did the little arm come off on the suspension that tells it how to move. Its on the drivers side control arm. I think there is a rear one also FYI.

Be careful with the battery replacement, it should/needs to be coded to the car, there is a process for this I guess, OEM battery is not cheap either FYI.

Xander had the JB3 before, he now has a procede as do I. I prefer the procede over the JB, the cobb seems to be making up some ground finally on the user maps and tuning too though.

Checked the parts that hook to the suspension and all was good, the pass side hl is fixable , drivers side isn’t as the adjuster inside is broken :frowning:

just did my first bit of maintenance on the car today

did the plugs and cabin filter

Mine are black too, I did the little silver air duct dividers under the bumper too, kinda completed the look for me.

X…

hmm, i may have to do that, thanks for the suggestion

Looks really nice!

Can you explain how you did the molding? Did you remove everything and “dip” it? Brush applied? Where did you buy the plasti-dip from?

I always found aerosol spray cans of Plasti-Dip to work best. I cannot speak to the OP’s methods however.

I always find it at Home Depot.

They make plasti-dip spray you goose. Lowes/HD has it in stock. No prep needed and you can peel it off if you don’t like it.

^^^
That’s exactly what I did

Spray cans from Lowes in black, wax/tar remover to prep and just sprayed
