school me on 335xi

i mean it seems every car has its problems, its just figuring out which ones i want to take the chance with

the sti is under what i could get the car for wholesale so it would be a profit maker

If the STi is a REALLY good deal then:

1- Buy STi
2- Drive through winter
3- Sell for profit in spring
4- Buy 335i
5- Heaters.
6- ???
7- More profit

^^ thats kind of what i was thinking, I mean working for a dealer i can usually get good deals on a car but the STI is cheaper by about 2000 than what i could get wholesale

Seems like a no brainer to me then: get the STi!

anytime you can get a car below wholesale it would make sense to buy and them just go trade it in for easy money. normally these scenarios are not so black and white.

The STi sounds great for the winter.

I say 335d, that’s just me. 335i’s aren’t that fast anyway. The 335 has awesome torque, 35mpg hwy, and bmw feel. Then just get something nasty for the summer. There are plenty of fast cars out there for $10k just for the summer.

300 whp sedans are considered slow now?

335d’s are only auto = fail.

My 335 with a tune would pull my evo with all the bolt ons.

like

Not quite spring but thanks for the sound advice

Bought the 06 sti, put 8k miles on it and sold it for 2000 more than I paid

Picked up an 07 335i today with 41k miles
Sport package
Premium package
Cold weather package
I drive
Comfort access
And since its a 2007 I believe it has the logic 7

Loving it so far, couple minor things I will need to touch up but I can’t complain for the price I paid

In for step 5 on Paulo’s list

sounds good

Nice pick up. Great option level too. Yes all 07s had logic 7

nah, having john kerr tune it, no offense to innovative but John Kerr is the only guy i would trust my cars tune to (so much so that i am probably gonna help pay to get his cobb pro tuner license)
