Any junkyards in the area take boats?

Might want to add another p into sraping. I thought you were looking for tips on stripping bottom paint or something.

What are you going to scrape it with?

You’re Good,
You’re Good

Just take it into the lake and sink it.

Just make sure you take all of the numbers off of it. Or if it a gaint aluminum boat I will come get it

If a mod wants to fix the title…

I’m just looking for a junkyard that will take the boat. It’s 18’ long, inboard 5.0 with cracked block. Unless someone wants a project, needs a full restoration.

“free boat” on craigslist. Guarantee some pack rat hoarder poor person will come get it same day.

Some decent info here:

I like the “put it on craigslist for $20 or free and some idiot will make it his problem” idea personally.

I like the Craigslist idea but we are keeping the trailer to convert into a utility to hall the quads and sleds. Hard for the scrap guys to haul it away in the van or pickup truck. I guess it cant hurt to try.

why not have a sweet bonfire with it? pack it with pallets and lite it up

Some jackass will definitely want it.

I don’t think burning a fiberglass hull is a great idea. The outboard drive was rebuilt a few years ago but the motor is junk and the floor is rotted. I think we are going to pull the motor/drive, sell the drive and junk the motor. Then post the hull or cut it up and dump it.

uhh yeah, burning fiberglass is probably not something you want to be breathing in.

People will take ANYTHING free on Craigslist. Or call M&M, they have a bunch of boats laying around so they must take them.

Bighands and I dragged his boat around his back field for a hour - SET SAIL FOR HIGH SEAS. then ramped it a couple times with his monster truck and left it there. hahahaha
