Mmm season is approaching.

Let’s pick a day and go somewhere nearly weekly.

Sunday good for all?

This is the route I did this weekend. Pretty far from Albany, but if you’re ever down in southern new york this is worth checking out:

Stony Point, NY - Harriman State Park

“County Route 106” is like Deals Gap, only shorter but with tighter turns. Lots of 20, 25, and 30 mph turns and lots of elevation changes. I’ll try to take some video next time I’m on it. Its an old road with lots of bumps and cracks, so its challenging, but making it through at a moderate pace feels quite rewarding.

You know I don’t mind long rides!

My biggest issue is picking the bike to take :lol

Still up for this weeked?

I can ride up from NYC and meet you guys at Bear Mountain. That place is ground zero for motorcycles on the weekend and a good place to start a ride.

So you live in NYC? or Albany? or both. :lol

NYC for this summer. Back to Albany in august. Maybe Dallas for a few weeks in July too.

I hate not having a real “home” anymore lol

Here’s another route in the same area, not far from Harriman State Park
http://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=NY-218+N&daddr=41.4319818,-74.0121165+to:NY-218+N&hl=en&ll=41.406171,-73.943825&spn=0.092444,0.277405&sll=41.434169,-74.007425&sspn=0.023101,0.069351&geocode=FdSQdwId0vaW-w%3BFa0zeAIdLKqW-yk7ppZytDLdiTEu_OYDl1rEmg%3BFaysdwId9heX-w&gl=us&mra=dvme&mrsp=1&sz=14&via=1&z=12

This part of Route 9W is a two lane highway which goes over a small mtn. Some nice fast sweeping turns, with great views.

Storm King Hwy is very tight, with lots of tight turns over 90*. Some good views of the Hudson River. Here’s some info on this road:

I think I know where that is. We have a small project literally at that base.
