the truck is a high 13 second vehicle in its current shape, bad dizzy ect. how we raced.
the mustang with sub 300hp went 12.09 almost 2 seconds right there.
I’ve got a 13.5:1 .030 small block sitting with a big cam/intake combo with good heads it will make 400+ with nice aluminum heads 450 hp+ its not rocket science, same techs been around since the 60s. its proven time and time again.
so whats another 125 - 175 hp equate to the same time it already ran. I seen 10.30s to 10.50s all day being easily possible, and high tens on accident without even trying.
If I didnt have the s10, and my jeep build, I’d have the money to throw it together.
without a timeslip you cant make that claim. just because someone else did it dosent mean you can.
second, put my truck on slicks with the proper distributor and it should run 8.0 or better, putting it right in your time range.
i dont have heads / carb, stall for the powerglide, and all the little shit that nickles and dimes you to death.
I have a shortblock sitting. if i had every part i needed I wouldnt be selling it.
The plan was to sell the mustang and dump the money into the s10, or sell the s10 and dump the money into the mustang, no sense in having both.
Just didnt pan out that way.

driving it on the street is about as legal as street racing. point?
I’m not intrested in the stack of tickets some of the truely fast cars around here got on the street.
tracks are open, just not in wny.
How can i not claim this. its not a claim. Burch took his car to the track and ran 12.5 at 112 or 115 and he drives his evo everyday.
Then he tuned my car, called me and said hey bro your cars a lil faster than my evo. thats not a claim its a fact.
I dont doubt that your platform is better for laying rediculous times at the track, i mean cmon your car prolly weighs 2600-2700 lbs and you can stuff any big swinging dick v8 in the fucking thing you want. I understand this fully, and im all for it go fucking nuts bro.
My whole argument was the fact that you claim your car is the only one in the whole world that can do that, there a fucking 1000000000 of people that are faster by far than the both of us and they coulda spent even less than we did.
What you want in a car and what i want are 2 different things, plain and simple. You want to be able to post fast time slips at the track and be able to say my car goes 10.30 or 9.30 or fucking 5.50 whatever you might wanna run.
I want a car that can go low 11’s-maybe faster and still be able to function perfectly as a daily driver. I wanna drive a few hundred miles to a show, or go pick up some groceries with my old lady and on the way home outrun one of these guys in my town who think their supercharged third gen fbod is the fastest shit in the world.
You and i will never see eye 2 eye because we want/own two totally different things
tens for 5k is a large feat. Its not happening in a 4 cyl car, period. It dosent count if you buy a car that has 20,000 into it for 4000 and throw some slicks on it.
its being able to duplicate that setup for 5,000$ or less. Total cost, including saftey.
That was my whole point to saying that. a large portion to the budget goes in saftey, a cage is 300 uninstalled, now count the sfi damper, the sfi flywheel, racing seat, harness’s. ect.
10.50 for 5000 legally, cost of car and all the parts. sure anyone could crank the boost above and beyond, or put a big shot of juice and run the time once. I’m saying run it on a regular basis.
For someone trying to make fun of someone for bench racing, you have done nothing but Bench raced your POS mustang and truck the last two pages.
Running 10’s is running 10’s. I do not know many people running a SFI damper, SFI flywheel or any other safety features that are just running 10’s. So your safety point is completely retarded.
If you are willing to throw down cash, I will bet you right now I can have a 4 cylinder car into the 10’s regularly for under $5000.
