Selling house without a Realtor?

I’m possibly thinking about relocating to NC, and would need to sell my house (would be nice to try and rent it out, but, would be hard to have two mortgages in our names at this time).

To get out of this with a nice down payment on our next house, we need to sell it for $165,000 with a realtor. If I do a FSBO I would save about $7500-8500 in commission fees which means I can sell the house for less to get rid of it quickly.

Has anyone ventured selling a house without an agent? Was it worth it in the end? Any tips from start to closing date?

Having head a few realtors talk about selling houses, and knowing people that have sold homes even with a realtor, its stressful when someone else is doing it. Id imagine its a fuck ton of work and aggravation trying to do it by yourself.
