Selling my 87 RX7. $900 OBO.

I never thought selling a car for $900 would be so hard… I just bought a bunch of nitrous stuff for $800 without blinking, lol

I know! The problem is, nobody in the north has any interest in these cars. When I was living in Florida (where there just so happened to be a lot of puerto ricans) I could have sold the car in a week at the latest. And for twice as much. It really is a puerto rican ferrari. Those guys will pay anything for a clean shell down there.

Puerto Ricans on Long Island fucking love those things

I plan on buying a 89 or 90 convertible in long island when I come back from arizona. The ones I’ve seen for sale are pretty reasonably priced. Usually between $2,000-$3,500 with decent miles. Most of the verts I find for sale appear to have been abused though. ::sad

I have plenty of interest in this car only problem is the time of year it is to be buying a car that doesnt run.

I just sunk over $1000 in parts into my car for this season. IF the rx-7 ran and i could just swoop down and pick it up and register it and crap i could store it in my parking garage but we aren’t allowed to have unregistered or un inspected cars in there

How much work is involved in replacing the coolant seal? And is that all it needs to run?

Heavy duty seal kits are 200 bucks. You need to remove the engine (1-2 hour job if you know what you’re doing). Then you have to take the housings apart and replace the seals. That is all it NEEDS to run. I would invest in an intake manifold gasket set or just an all out gasket kit to be safe (Comes with coolant seals). No need to rebuild. You might tear some gaskets when taking the intake manifold off so thats why I suggest that kit as well.

It could be done in a week if you take your time with it. The only reason I’m not doing it myself is because I need a grand to move to arizona so this is my only viable option since time is running out. It runs. Just gets real hot. If you’d like to take a look at it, I can charge the battery to show you it cranks and starts. I don’t know how well it’s going to start in the cold weather but it might.

If there wasnt so much work involved I would be all for it but i already have all the bays in my garage filled between my mustang my dads boat and I just puled the motor out of my truck. If you still have it when its warmer out i may be interested.

With the way it’s looking, I’ll probably never be able to get rid of this car haha.

I’m desperate. Someone make me an offer. The car has to go before march. I’m moving to arizona to finish school March 18th. This car needs to go in order for me to move otherwise I owe the school 8 grand. Someone just make an offer. Can’t go below 700. Would like at least 800. This is a good deal. Good miles, inexpensive fix. 500 bucks in brakes alone were done on the car in november/december. New plugs/wires battery. This car needs nothing but water seals.

Anyone who has the ability to remove a chevy small block can do this job.

dude pm me so I can go look at the car if you still want to sell it.

didnt read last post 700 and Ill go get it.

When could you get it by?

800 and it’s yours.

The car’s got a current inspection and a registration sticker on it. Just throw some random plats on it, don’t shave the inspection or registration and say it’s yours :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s true.

Threats: I’ll slap you so hard, your clothes will be outtalk style. This’ll jar your preserves. Don’t you be making’ me open a can o’ whoop-ass on yaw!..warhammer gold warhammer gold http://www.warhammergold119.com/
