Selling on Criagslist / Kijiji? Stay Safe...

This guy was apparently murdered while trying to sell his 350z.

We received word tonight from officials in St. Jacob that the body of missing St. Jacob resident Taylor Clark has been found in a shallow grave at a location in Missouri. Our deepest sympathies to the family. We will provide further details as they become available.

Clarks red 2007 Nissan 350ZX was found Tuesday evening in the parking lot of a truck driving school on Missouri Bottom Road in Hazelwood. Clark, 19, from St. Jacob, was last seen Monday morning in Glen Carbon by his girlfriend. Before disappearing, investigators from the Madison County Sheriffs Department say he finished taking his final exams at SIUE and had already paid his tuition for next semester in full.

Investigators say he was trying to sell his car on Craigslist and his most recent cell phone activity was detected in an area near where his car was found.

Woah

It’s someone he knew, they obviously didn’t kill him for the car.

Reason # 4,567,086 to have a concealed carry permit.

Fuck this…I’m moving to Whisky Island.

and some people always wonder why I have a weapon on me

@XwalkerX, talk me through carry conceal here in CA. Not joking.I’m ready.

@maxwell I honestly have no idea lol. I have a fed carry permit.

So use you illuminati super secret fed cred to hook me up bruuuh

we are currently hiring…

This is why I ALWAYS meet people from CL or some here at police stations.

Youd be amazed at how many people say “uuugh no thanks” after you tell them where you only meet

I believe the CA “may issue” is being disputed, and soon you should easily be able to get a CCW in CA.

What’s messed up is, one state east, in AZ… as long as you are not a felon, you can conceal carry without a permit.

A lot of police stations are now offering their parking lot as a “safe zone” to complete Clist transactions.

This is terrible.

I always meet at an extremely public place. I sold my kegerator on craigslist and that was the only time I had someone come to my house. I hate hate hated the idea of it, but moving that bitch around by myself is a pain. also. for every one of these, there are millions of successful, non-murderous transactions on craigslist. you only hear about the bad ones.

hrmm, maybe I should get my medicinal card and carry conceal bruuuuh. lol

my CL rapies thing went off

I’ve had good / bad experiences on CL but nothing like this. Always pack heat if I can’t do a public place…just in case.

+1

And on the rare occasions it’s something really awkward to bring to a meet spot and I have someone come to my house it’s always in the garage where I have a human silhouette target that was used for failure drills at the range prominently displayed. It definitely made this hipster who bought my old stereo cabinet uneasy. Maybe that was why he didn’t try to haggle.

Ha! I did the same thing inadvertently. Had a buyer meet me at my house. Shop door was open (selling car parts) and without knowing it had my plastic silhouette target on the bench from zeroing-in two days previous. It was a very smooth transaction.
