im aware, but the police dont forward the report, you have to go get the report and submit it to claims.
the bank doesnt know right away about the insurance, apparently it lapsed 4 days before the fire, and this was on a weekend, it normally takes 7-10days for the DMV to request the plates back. i know because allstate mixed up my payment plan and didnt have my auto-pay setup(i moved from WA to NY and obviously switched brokers)
