Just playing around with Google maps and went to look for the Signal Auto address and this pop-up came up and says that the Signal Auto 180SX is for sale …$16000 WTF!
how many accidents?..lol
Anyone know who drove that one when it was here?
Put it here because I don’t think it meets the for sale section rules!
no headlights, hmm, how much else would it need to be streetable
no year indicated
sweet otherwise, I doubt they’d sell a heap with they’re name all over it…
I’d guess that theres a few “copies” of that car in the Signal stable so you’re probaly not even buying the same car that’s been driven at all the events. Kinda like when I was trying to buy Tsuyoshi’s Bee-R drift ready R32/4 that was for sale last spring…well not really
I’ve acutally sent them an email about that…I’m currious if it is actually able to be imported at all (not because I can afford it)…Mods and emitions pending…
They probably arent looking to sell it for street purposes…its a purpose built drift car…And is sold as such i would imagine. Anybody who wants to compete seriously in anyd rift competition…this car is for you…AND WHAT A STEAL!!!
Really? Thanks.
Make’s Krimzen’s $18,000 S13 look like such a steal 8)
That one is also a pretty sweet car, but he wont list his mods…so nobody can realy say what its worth…
(probably not 18g’s…thats for sure if this thing is 16 grand lol)
16 grand us…
even so that doesnt make a huge difference…
nice car… certainly couldnt build it for that
GT
I dunno, I gave him a free bump, b/c honestly, expecting to sell ANYTHING on son for 18K is… hahaha, well, you know.
The car pictured was driven by Kazuya Bai. As it says on the car also. And if I remember right its a '96 180SX.
If its on American soils…you could still rbing it over here even though its a 96 right?
either way thats pretty cool good price too only its been kicked around, still had a lot more maintenance checks in 1 week then my 240 in 8 yrs
For one year max, or as seen fit by the Minister of Transportation and only for the purpose of exibition, demonstration or research. Must meet Schedule VII of the Motor Vehichle Safety Act.
Damn.
thats only if you want to use it on the street.
you can have whatever you want here for off road use only
^^^ how so? I’ve looked all over the Transport Canada site and I can’t find anything that relates to the importation of off-road vehicles. The term “off-road” from what I gathered is designated for items that were originally manufactured for off-road use ie: snowmobile, 4 wheeler…there is the term “competition vehicle” that I am going to call them and ask them about but I don’t think it is going to make a difference.
I’ll post when I find out.
With no a**hole under-tone implied, please let me know if you have found anything different. This is something I would love to be wrong about!
taken directly from the TC webiste:
http://www.tc.gc.ca/roadsafety/importation/impxus_e.htm
VEHICLES PURCHASED OUTSIDE CANADA AND THE UNITED STATES
The Motor Vehicle Safety Act and Regulations require that all vehicles imported into Canada comply, at the time of importation, with the Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standards in effect on the date the vehicle was manufactured. Vehicles manufactured for sale in countries other than Canada and the United States do not comply with the requirements of the Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Act, CANNOT be altered to comply and CANNOT be imported into Canada. The only exceptions to this rule are vehicles fifteen (15) years old or older as determined by the month and year in which the vehicle was manufactured and buses manufactured before January 1, 1971.
Because if it’s an “off-road” vehicle you obviously dont need to register it through transport Canada…therefore you wont find anything in the Highway or Importaion acts. You can trailer it wherever the hell you want so long as you dont operate it on public roadways…kinda like a lawn tractor, a go-cart, or your sister…
