niiiiice, my friends always trash my sector 9 deck but its outlasted all their boards and its just such a pleasant ride, can’t find a pic of it but its one of those real big surfboard shaped decks with no up curve in the front or back, love it
my gf’s brother has one, they live on a super long smooth street outside of batavia. i decided to give it a shot last summer, i could always push and turn a board without a problem but could never do any siiqq tricks, prob bc ive always been a fatass. it had been like 2 or 3 years since i had even stepped on one
anyway i hop on and start pushing and i just start ripping… then i realized im going so fast if i sketch out and have to bail i cant run to compensate for how fast im going hahah but i did ok… didnt kill myself. o ps this was right before i went to a wedding so i was in nice shoes tie slacks ect…
actually im gonna do the grip tape… i think its part of skating to be all excited putting it together, i don’t think i can F it up, just do the smooth down then make the outline, cut it , then rub again to “melt” the grip tape to the board so nothin peelsss
me and my friend used to longboard about and jokingly make fun of regular skateboards, we never meant it but its amusing pretending to be elitist as dumb as that sounds
ironically that happens a lot, which is I think what sparks it. skateboarders think it’s funny, because longboards are like skateboards with training wheels for people who aren’t good enough to do tricks
road bikes are really popular right now, especially fixed gears. I have a geared bike to go on real rides but I cruise the city on my fixed. sunday night rides are usually 100-130 people
I need to get a board again and go skate ub again and run from the cops again only this time all my friends who went to college will get to see me run from the cops.
