I’d like to see the photos of these in use if you could. Nice work, they look more durable than what they are selling.
Those people in bidwell are, at best, hippies, not hipsters. I’m sure you make drinking at mcgarrets look super awesome.
Awww… are you grumpy that people want to try slacklining in this thread and now your “OMG LOOK AT ME” hobby is going mainstream and not as cool as your torn vintage shirts, girl jeans, and poor humor?
Yep. That’s it.
[sarcasm]People out doing cool stuff they enjoy are so lame.[/sarcasm]
I’ll be out suffering tomorrow. It will be awesome.
I set up a pretty long line at the park about 100’ long about 5 feet off the ground… dude hit it full tilt on a bicycle. Classic closeline… glad he wasn’t a bitch about it.
That video was pretty cool. Didnt know people did all that “jumping, spinning, flipping etc” on them. I thought it was just for walking.
What are these lines made out of
1" tubular climbing webbing
Came across some guys setting up a ~100’ line on Manhattan beach in Los Angeles. That place is like an adult playground. There were 4 other slacklines set up with people just messing around. One of many things I loved about Cali is how people will just do what they want to do outside to have fun, and no one judges them for it. to doing fun shit.
How often do people (newman) do this? I wouldnt mind trying it. I know I will fall, just hopefully not hard.
Don’t use ratchet straps? Doesn’t Gibbon just remarket comercial 2 or 3" ratchet straps with their logos?
I judge them… People in Cali generally blow.

You should seriously open a company one day. Design things, make them, then sell them for a killing. Hell if I had the resources I would for sure.
You mean copying designs and selling items for a lower price? Have fun competing with China
yes but they don’t get very tight or long. I have a pretty elaborate tensioning setup built from rock climbing gear that has a 16:1 mechaincal advantage… but i have about 900 dollars invested in it. (I use it for other stuff as well)
(2) 51KN SMC rigging plates @ $50
(4) rock exotica double PM pulleys @ $90
(8) 51 KN OP steel 1/2" biners @ $25
(1) grigri @ $90
(1) RE single PM pulley @ $90
(1) tibloc shunt @ $25
(3) spansets @ $25
then the linegrips and shit which i made

cmon now, not everything i make is a copy… that’s pretty rare actually.
Started doing some longer, higher lines… this is about 150’ long and 7’ high or so…
Looks like a good height to drop from. Are you able to jump a little on the line now? I havent read back in this thread.
