ew
shitty
I hope this breaks up the band so we never have to hear the crap they call music again
coke.
Yeah I’m in no way a huge slipknot fan, but it was pretty shocking to hear/read.
Wow shitty
That sucks, they had some good songs
How so?
People you don’t know die every day.
True, and if they were 38 and played bass for one of the biggest “metal” bands in the world I’d be shocked also.
How is it shocking? Your statement makes zero sense.
Shocking as in not expected. You expect to read that people die daily, you do not expect to read the bass player of one of the “biggest” metal bands in the world did.
Makes sense to me.
Shitty he died I thought their first album was ok when i was like 14 lol.
Don’t worry about it
Truly a bummer. Paul was a decent guy. I met him through my friend Mick (one of their guitar players) back in '03, and again in '04 after a show in Rochester. Pretty low key dude, and very personable. IIRC, he got married in '03 as well, and had at least 1 kid. Haven’t really spoken to either of them in the past 5 years, but still, pretty sad.
From what I’ve read, his wife was expecting another kid this year  for the loss. That’s cool you met them, I always wanted to go to their shows. They may have not been my favorite or even the best out there but they knew how to entertain.
.
I only went to the one show in Rochester in May of '04. Emkay from this forum was there as well. Not so much my scene either, but definitely worth experiencing at least once. The tightest 9-piece band ever. Really seriously precise.
But yeah, met Paul through Mick years ago, tried to sell him a kick ass '97 C4S coupe back in '03. Crossed paths a few times since then, the last time being an afterparty at the Rochester show, and then poof…gone. I’m sure a lot can change in 5-6 years also.
Corey better damn well keep it together. My daughter would be crushed if he did anything stupid.
