I used to deliver flowers for a florist (I know it’s gay as darkstar, but it paid the bills for a few months) and I never turned the car off and put it in gear, it was too much trouble. Shit happens and it’s good it only scraped a little bit.
on a side note, if your license is suspended why would you get a job that requires driving around a lot, why not get a job at mcdonalds or something until the suspension is up. Kinda like playing with fire don’t you think?

I figure that since I’m still young, and I really have no responsibilities, it would be smarter to figure out what I want my career to be before I finish school.
As for common sense, you’re probably right. I’m plagued with inability to think in normal and practical terms, partly because it pains me to deal with people who aren’t on my intellectual level. If this sounds arrogant, I really don’t give a shit. If I stressed over offending everyone less intelligent than me, I’d have had an aneurism by now.

In the last six years, I’ve delivered with a suspended license five times, totalling about two years. I never get pulled over in the areas I deliver; All of the police know I deliver, and don’t pull me over. It’s when I go outside of where I deliver that I get pulled over.
Plus, it’s only a 60 day suspension. If I can’t go two months without getting pulled over, I don’t deserve to drive.

tanning salon. My costs to open would be around $25,000. My aunt owns one in Hampton, and once the beds are paid off, they’re huge money makers. The place I’m looking at is only $8/ sq ft (yearly)… that’s only $333/month plus utilities.

it’s easier said than done. i was blindsided. as i handed the pizzas to one guy, another guy popped out and pushed me down a flight of stairs. i only had $27 on me (it was my first delivery of the day), so i let them have the money (i was just stoked that they weren’t trying to steal my mercury capri). the cops arrested them less than a half-hour later. they’re both doing time now.
i rattle-canned the hood black to see how it would turn out. when i put the new fender + corner lamp on tomorrow, i’ll finish the car.

i’m just sick of looking at mismatched body panels… i’m abandoning any idea of ever selling the Prizm; I’d never get much out of it… So I figure I’ll just spray paint the car black, drive it until it dies, and hope that when it does I’m in the position to finance something new… like a Scion TC, or a Golf TDI.
