Romaine, escarole, endive, leaf, boston leaf…don’t grow in balls. My lettuce does not grow in balls. It just doesn’t like it much.
Maybe you need to get some balls and just go to the store, buy some damn lettuce that is labeled “lettuce”. It would be easier than putting us through your ramblings about lettuce.
