I understand how they reached the opinion that it’s protected speech but it still sucks knowing these corporations, unions and special interest groups are going to get the green light to spend as much as they want on political advertising. Sometimes the Bill of Rights really does get in the way of common sense.
I’ll still take strict interpretation vs legislating from the bench any day, but yeah, this one sucks. It’s like watching the KKK, Obama’s ex-pastor or 9/11 truthers preach hate and ignorance while hiding behind the 1st amendment.
