:zong:
Not my thing, but he’s talked about getting a Harley for years. Now I get to give him mid-life-crisis where’s-your-tattoo shit. (To call my Dad conservative would be kind of an understatement.)
I don’t think he would, but if he puts straight pipes on it I’ll kick his ass!
Is the sole purpose of that brick meant to be for the kickstand? I just don’t see any other bricks hanging around with it, and it’s placed perfectly for this pic. :gotme:
I’m very surprised he went from 70s BMWs to this… but at least he’s riding / enjoying it.
Yes. There have been motorcycles going in and out of that shed for more years than I can remember. That block is there so you can wheel it out of the shed, set it there, fire it up, and go inside and grab your gear while it warms up. It’s been there, hell, since before my dad built the shed. That used to be where his bike lived during the summer. Haha it’s kind of funny that someone notices that. Growing up in a family full of motorcycle riders having a block in the middle of your lawn doesn’t seem noteworthy.
if its really hot out, the kick stand will dig into the blacktop, mine did and fell over… as it looks like a blacktop driveway i’m sure that could be a concern there.
Nice bike, not my cup of tea, but it seems like more people i know are getting them, mabye im/there getting old…
wow even after riding jap bikes too ? when my dad bought his bike we looked at harleys back to back with the yamahas, IMO theres just no compaison, the yamaha is just a better bike in every way, it looks better, feels better, runs better IMO and not to mention cheaper, harlyes are nice no doubt, but I would never buy one, nice pickup though, hope he enjoys.
looks like a sharp bike. should have gotten a vrod though… :awdrifter:
oh and btw I ride with both sport bikes and Harley’s, sport bikes rev the engines at stops way more then Harley’s do, this is just personal experience so maybe it is a fluke…
