BTW, the hole in the oilpan is nothing unlike what I’ve seen in cars with a blown rod, but the destruction it did to the block wall is impressive. Even the cylinder. At least you would think the wall would bend out of shape rather than collapse like that.

How’d this happen?
From what I understand –
- Car wash for ZFest event near Oakville. Different wash than regular. Pressure I believe??
- Out of car wash car developed some kind of knock in the crankcase. Car was babied due to suspected future engine failure. Bountywolf wanted to take it to ZFest badly so I advised him to daisy the car and change the oil. Car was parked for oil change early the next morning.
- Oil change early in the morning of the following day.
- Driving the car on the 401 midday, engine fails at highway speeds.
