So who knows about Hyundai motors? v.DOHC

Ummmmmmm.

My g/f has a 94 Hyundai. Elantra.

And it has the DOHC motor in it. I don’t know the name of it. Its the same one, that DSM owners use the valve cover off of.

Well, it idles…low. Like if she revs it up, it stalls out. Its probably an IACV, or something stupid, but for now…until i read up on the motor more…i need a temporary fix.

so umm where is the idle control nut/bolt/screw? (w/e they are on these things)

I looked all over the intake mani, and didn’t see ANYTHING.

please…help.

:inb4viper:…its prolly on the TB

Fuck.

If he’s the only one on this forum who can give me advice…i’m fucked.

i should probably start joining hyundai forums, now.

Or look on the throttle body where the IAC is 95% of the time.

i dididididid

i’ll look again today.

it was kinda dark out.

hrmmm.

larry would prob know

Bring it by the shop…we can fix it in no time.

your gf has a lisence?

Moved to correct forum.

That car uses the mitsu 4g63 na motor

does it surge at all? no codes? a bad IAC will kind of “bounce” the revs about.
if the TPS has a blank spot in the voltage range then it would not be felt at idle since there is no TPS activity at idle. however, a faulty TPS won’t throw a code and will effect drivability.
