my 96 GST is having some idleing issues. first, it seemed like the throttle body is sticking slightly open, so i took off the charge pipe and cleaned the butterfly and surrounding areas. they’re now very clean. sometimes the car idles high (1000-2000 rpms) and at other times it idles normal. once the car is idleing normally, if i put a load on it (in gear + a/c) idle drops to what seems below 500 rpm. i’ve heard that DSMs have a common problem with IAC motor/valves, but i do not have a check engine light. any insight or suggestions are appreciated.

Yea, ISC’s go bad often it seems. I ended up yanking mine out.
