What do people generally use for soffit accent lighting, preferably LED based? I don’t imagine the regular gumball type or the housings are made for exterior use?
You can use recessed cans. The LED retrofit trims are generally rated for outdoor use since the soffit is under cover. They don’t need to be raintight as rain is not falling on them. This is the same application as in a shower setting.
