Up for sale is my 1993 civic dx hatch
-dx so: no right mirror, no ac, roll up windows
-infact it had no radio or speakers until 220k, haha
-automatic
-rear defrost and wiper are both broken
-i have a sedan right mirror, new holes need to be drilled to make it work
-installed the center console that has a built in arm rest, its the wrong color, but it works so good! lol
260k miles
bought from bret (iHaveAnStd) a year ago w/ 230k, at that time I installed:
-a new gas tank (undercoated it before i put it in)
-oem timing belt & water pump
-plugs
-wires
-dist cap
-4 tires
-full width rad from a newer civic (the orig half width one was rotted out)
-also flushed tranny fluid and installed inline filter
4/08 250k:
the above mentioned rad leaked and caused the head gasket to pop so I:
-changed the head gasket
-had the head checked and decked
-put a half width rad back in
7/08 255k:
I bled the brakes and fixed a gas leak, the metal line to rubber line by the gas tank rotted out.
11/08 260k
i rotated the tires and put new pads and rotors on the front, along with taking apart the guide pins and lubing everything up real good. i also tested the rad fluid with a hydrometer (tests freezing/boiling point) and it was perfect.
3 clicks and the e brake keeps the car still in gear.
gets 34 mpg highway @ 75mph, 32 mpg otherwise.
the body is rough/rusty in the usual spots but definitely solid
ALSO, ADDED BONUS! the rebar to the rear bumper support rotted off the end brackets that bolt to the car, so i welded a 2x3 piece of 3/16 thick steel bar to the end caps and welded a trailer hitch onto that and also wired in trailer lights. it pulls my 4x6 trailer perfectly.
the tires wear even, but the steering wheel is a little crooked. one tire is not the same, bounced off a curb last winter drifting at brockport college. btw this thing is a drift machine!
it has a jvc cd player in it, which has a little cord that goes into the glove box to hook up a usb jump drive for mp3’s
this car has been taken care of its whole life, the car was owned by a little old lady until about 220k, all of the service records are on file at john holtz under the vin. it has ALWAYS started for me and ran perfect (well except when the hg went, lol)
located in zip 14103
it is getting inspected tuesday, btw
