thank you for proving on not the idiot here. why would I pay to have the car checked out before considering buying it? it’s the seller’s responsability to provide necessary information that aides in the sale of the car, otherwise he doesnt care enough to get rid of it.
If he had simply taken the time to have a friend come by and do the compression and leakdown tests, this car WOULD ABSOLUTELY have sold already, regaurdless of the price…simply because the buyer would be able to come to a sensible offering price based on condition of vehicle.
I cant even get him to meet me to take a look at it. I told him i have cash in my pocket and would leave work early to come look at it and maby buy it. He said man you are killing me the bills game is today. I have tried my best and your offer to go look at it by myself at some garage where i would only be able to walk around it and not figure out what it will need is wack. I know it looks like shit, i just want to know how much money i will need to put into it.

I Personally, could not give to shits whether or not the car sells, i dont even know joe. You are bitching over a 1300 clean car. If you were that interested focus, i think you would have pm’ed him, gotten his number, came to his house to check out the car. instead of bitching for 3months about how joe hasnt gotten the motor checked out yet. I sold some stuff to a member here a while back. I told him I’d give him a free, complete bottom end since he got like ~800 worth of stuff off me. He would text me like 5x a week, to the effect of “hey can I come pick it up right now.”
Being a pretty busy guy, there’s never really a time I can drop everything to go meet someone. This went on for literally months.
The problem? I would only get a text like the very moment he could come pick it up. Had he just said “ok can you meet me this day at this time,” and I could have said “yeah this is when I’m available” and worked something out
