Well the old head had alot of miles on it and i was told that it was putting down 240hp to the wheels. So i would have to say atleast 250hp to the wheels with the new head and a tune up.
I beileve the turbo was replaced with a newer used one in the last 40k. It has performed quite well for the time i have had the car.
And as for as the recently done work well i myself have replaced the battery, altenater, cv axle, belts, new head, head gasket set, and hardware for top end rebuild.
The other work was done by the pervious ower with in the last two years.
And im not really sure what you want to know about the awd system but i know that all the fluids and seals/cuplinks have been replaced.
Pat bought it from Alan, and then let his father drive it. Then he sold it to someone else? In any event Jay bought it next , then I bought it, then I sold it back to Alan.
The one here is not that one. This car is very nice. Matt did a lot of work on it and it’s sharp. It’s a nice car.
So what exactly has to be put back together? And if it is more than I think I can handle what do you think a shop would charge me for the work? I am quite interested but kind of weary about buying a car that I can not even see run before doing so.
Nothing terribly odd about a 10V Audi. I would recommend making friend with someone familiar with what you are about to undertake though. AudiWorld and a Bentley are your friends. A shop would make the job and purchase not worth it, you really want to do it yourself. If I had to guess, I’d say $900+ 99.9% of which is pure labor.
If you have any sort of mechanical expertise, you can do it.
There are enough people around town who would be more than willing to help you get it up and running again. Like to see another old Audi on the road again.
