Since all that drama went down months ago, shortly thereafter he came to the shop and needed some help with the car and man’d up and apologized to me (even though I had nothing to do with it) for acting the way he did over Shift and everything. He also admitted what he did was dumb and said why he did it. That takes a lot honestly, and I highly respect that of him. Dudes never done me wrong.

Sweet! I was curious to see the work you did without actually having to get on the ground under my car!

can you share with us fellow shifters his “reasoning” for the lie? Im real curious cuz he told me something too, but I could see right through the bullshit. ni99a told me he crashed the bike and it was sitting at his house all messed up waiting to go to the scrap yard and thats why he didnt tell people on shift… but then when i asked him to see a pic of it crashed he then changed his story to “oh, it just got picked up an hour ago and went to the scrap yard”

Without putting any more words in his mouth than this, the obvious conclusion everyone came to months ago and the same as every “young and dumb” person, including myself I am sure at some points did… to seem cool and fit in. Its part of growing up, and since we all did it, or are in the middle of doing it, I commend him on admitting that to me. He wont comment on here, for good reason… many of us are not, or dont seem like it on here, very open minded to giving people another chance, aparantly like I am. Whatever the case, it doesnt matter. He is welcome at my shop as he has not done me wrong.

10-4 i dont have room for the hartop yet and dont want it getting messed up until its installed.

Quick update on some stuff I got on camera. I picked up a new monster nozzle for the tig welder to give me better visability and much better gas coverage for stainless work. I spent a bit of time dialing in my machine, focused on my tungsten grind angles and filler wire manipulation. With the nozzle and the above improvements I made in my technique I am very happy with the weld quality.

This is an 06 A4, made the downpipe and fixed the poor fitment on the cat back and welded on the tips. The rear mufflers were cut off and clocked better as well as adding a section of tube on one side to keep it off the sway bar. Fitment turbo to tail pipe is perfect now.

I want to hear it… ^^^

Its not that loud at all, just a bit louder than stock. Underload while driving it sounds a bit throaty-er, not much drone inside either.

Aeromotive 340 intank installed, thanks Aeromotive for sending the wrong o-ring size, but atleast i caught it in a cup of fuel blowing by instead of “why cant I build fuel pressure when its in the car”. AN fittings tigged on the fuel feed and return hardlines to run braided front to back. Tank hung.

RWD output installed on trans, drive shafts reinstalled.

Engine is in, radiator, powersteering lines, oil and coolant plumbing, etc. Wiring is 90% figured out and laid out. Some 1-2G mods need to be done for the ecu to be happy with the old block/head.

Its getting there!

if dave is going to run e85, he should switch out the 340. the coating on the outside of the pump falls off and plugs the pump as it gets sucked through.

walbro 400 FTW, if running a single intank pump.

oh and what clutch is he using? single disk, he may experience some upper rpm lockout if that tranmission isnt fresh with new double syncros and all that jazz.

Will prolly swap out w a walbro 400 in the future just wanna drive the thing as its been in the shop for literally a year… Clutch is only an act2900… I got it b4 i planned on makin big power and it only has like 200 miles on it so im gonna burn it up and go with a twin disc, prolly south bend… Going w shep stage 3 tranny as well

southbend doesnt make a twin last i knew, just the DXD 6puck sprung. honestly i would look into a competition clutch twin, or the Exedy.

Walbro makes a new ‘E85’ pump, do that.

As far as tranny’s go, fuck clutches-go auto if you can spring for it.

cosseys brother has a twinndisc southbend and ive heard real good things.
