Vette preview. LaMans Blue Pearl.

final assembily tonight, powdercoating a few pieces for it too. Owner also has a set of black wheels on order. when they come in, legit pics will come. This color is absolutly stunning, even inside… I cant wait to see it in the sun!

those fucking things suck so much cock

every car blows man, just some people dont like whats sucks on one car more than the others so they are biased. But yes, GM sucks at building this generation vette. It looks good now though.

but it all boils down to, it aint yo car, and the customer is happy with it.

e36 m3s dont blow

e36 318’s suck doe

no they dont. If you ignore the rear subframes pulling out of the unibody, the headliners falling on your head, and door panels fall right off the doors if the owner(s) dont close the doors like a feather…

On the flip side I had cars that never had those known issues, but shit fell apart on that car where the M3 would last 200Kmi for the same parts.

every car sucks.

damn I am hungry now.

Thats a sexy blue

Bike tank from hell! GenPatton brought me the tank to paint the blue and white strip on to match his FIAT plastics.

The Chinese wouldn’t share their secrete paint code/color combo with me to match their plastics to a color I can shoot on the tank. We scanned with with the paint gun and Autobody mixed me up a tri coat, at $200 IRC a pint! Shot it, and it was nowhere near the color. Not totally their fault, their gun scans and pulls the closes OEM match. It is what it is, its my mistake I gotta eat it.

Took the plastic pieces to 3 bike shops in the area and held it up to a bunch and settled on the older gen purplish blue pearl yamaha color. Then ordered up more TRI COAT!

Shot it again, and it was alot closer, but not KrazyKid perfect yet. So, I took the front plastic piece that would be the adjacent panel to the tank and blended my matching white color into the stripe, and then blended the blue over the top, but faded it at the rolled over edge to the original color, becasue at that edge it would be butting against the side upper plastic. Alot of work on such a small canvas! But the results should be worth the effort.

All in all didnt charge him any more than my original est for the tricoat and labor, even though I spent $400+ on materials and did it 2.5 times! lol But sometimes you gotta take the loss to do whats right. If anyone wants a small paint job I have some discounted “almost yamaha purplish blue pearl” I can shoot for ya! :rofl

The tank came out awesome Mike! I rested it on the bike and it looks like it does really well! Should have it all back together by this weekend and I’ll post pics. The powdered gas cap also matches pretty damn closer for being a standard white. Thanks again!

Daves eclipse is back for more fuel. The stock fuel tank has a hump in the middle and a shitty vac assisted lift pump to pull fuel over the hump (drive shaft pass through). The basket would need to be built to hang good pumps off, and the factory wiring wouldnt support the amperage to run 2 big pumps. So there were just too many strikes against guaranteeing proper fuel supply reusing the factory tank, too many hoops to jump over. So we ditched it and went with a sumped cell. Setup is as follows: Fuel Lab 1500 pump, poly cell in the trunk, coarse -10 filter cell to pump, -10 up to the rail with a fine micron filter inline, -8 out of the new billet fuel rail to the Fuel Lab regulator, -8 back to the cell. Pump is wired in with a relay fed directly from the battery for the most voltage possible. 1X1 square stock is welded into the spare tire well to seat the cell, .125 X 1" straps bent and made to retain the cell, powdercoated red. Still need to address the cross bars that were cut to make room out back, clean the trunk and connect the fuel rail once it comes (still in shipping). Also made a new batter hold down bracket to secure the battery better.

Upgraded the clutch to an ACT twin disk too.

The cell has its own sending unit, and gauge. More accurate, stand along (factory gauge’s resistance range doesnt work well with aftermarket sending units without messing with changing the resistance). So I removed the ash tray (dave doesnt smoke anyway! lol) and made a simple aluminum plate to put the gauge in. Nice and clean wiring, powdercoated it wrinkle black to match the texture a bit and sent it home.

Also made some quick center caps and coated them the wheel color.

Once the rail comes (should be today or the next I hope) its all done and ready to go back on the dyno packs to turn the wick up.
