allright me and a friend got un-lazy and wired it up, not too bad if u have patience… and behold, it worked! amazing i no, so we go out and run, after setting up the settings to where they “should be” aka 4cyl , the other settings recommended by 2gnt, but after a few shifts, i feel that every setting the car is different, the a/f gauge keeps changing, then we pull over and see that the settings are all pre-set to starting at -14, so i set them to zero, one would assume that zero would be the right thing to start at…next thing i no the a/f richens to hell, the car is burnin extremely rich, and it stalls…after a few attempts we decide to disconnect the safc and reset the s-afc, in a life or death situation seconds later the s-afc happend to be disconnected in a rush to exit the car, im re-hooking it up tommorow but would appreciate it if someone could help set it up , the only thing i could think of is before starting the engine set all the val’s to 0, and reset the s-afc and ecu, then start it…suggestions? thanks
its easy…do u have the manual
i have the directions printed online…heres the challenge, the wiring harness for the wires it came with is about 1 foot short,my ecu is by the battery under the hood, i COULD solder ,but im kind of impatient and would rather have someone with more experience hook this up
just called there…i paid 140 for it, 100s a little more than i wanted to spend for install, im goin out now to try to find a harness to extend it,
PM sent I’ll do it today even I need the money bad.
allright maybe u can hook it up the right way, as of now i have given up temporarily
AIR FUEL constantly changes when driving…it doesnt stay the same…unless u are talking about the air fuel correction numbers but it u reset the unit it should be fine
yeah i no it changes, i just hooked up the safc and tried it,screen didnt come on but was sending horrible settings to the ecu so i disconnected it
a 100 bux is too much? Thats about 1 1/2 hours labor time. Maybe they will do it for free…:roll2:
You got to pay to play.
Devon (fuzzy) is a GREAT wiring guy … anytime i know someone that needs something hooked up, i tell them to contact him
i was talking about fuzzy when i mentioned hooking it up, and it was/is installed fine, it is the tuning part now i am stuck with
if u reset it back to default settings it wont make any corrections and it will run normal…wait to get on a dyno before u play with the settings…just decide how many channels u want to display and waht u want to display…tahts what i am doing until mike gets his new dyno
