i’ve had most of my engine parts polished…but it’s such a pain in the nuts to keep looking good…so i had everything chromed :O…that manifold would have cost like $300 at the most to have chromed…
but dont get me wrong…yours looks like it’s coming out very nice. GL
thanks dude. polished stuff is a super PITA to keep clean but im a nit picker when it comes to the cleanliness of my car. it may have been several colors but you couldnt even lean on it without sliding off hahah.
been there done that a bunch of times. i’ve done a bunch of 16v vw intakes, upper/ lower, and shaved the corresponding valve covers as well. good times.
looks good though.
thank god when it comes time to polish my new skates for the 5 series, i can just jack it up, let the idle spin the wheels, and hold the paper against them.
looks good, i just did a lot metal finishing my intake, i ground off all the mold lines, and detextured it but rather than polish it I painted it. Polished is a PITA
I heard when you chromed it actually made your engine run hotter because your changing the composition? IDK where i heard that clubrsx.com i think. Anyway i decided to start polishing today. I Cleaned my VC off and me and joey jiggsy are going to votec to clean it and beadblast the paint off. Then the sanding and polishing begins. Do you guys think i gould spray a high temp laquer clear coat on top if it was super clean?
Anyway heres what i want my stuff to look like when im done(with the prc mani instead of the rbc but still.)
i live with dave so i just chill there. im still working at synapse just have time off cause buissness is slow. i work part time at extreme autobody. prepping cars and taking care of customers. and im going to be painting my car hopefully before the season begins.
dkid was getting a 2.25" 05-06 RSX Type-S midpipe extended a few inches so it would fit his EP3. The stock EP3 is 1.75" or something like that and he wanted to keep it quiet so he went with the (almost) bolt on Type-S one.
I was there caus I had nothing better to do and I had to make an appointment for Dave to weld my stock mufflers back up to my SER.
