I turn the tv on when a lady comes over and even then it’s mostly for movies only. Can’t remember the last time I actually sat down and turned the damn thing on looking for a specific show to watch or attempt to keep up to date on.

The key is to not spend $120 a month on cable, and torrent or Netflix what you want to watch, when you want to watch it

Yeah, I’ll toss in Weeds too. The first 2 seasons were great then it went downhill. This latest season has been really good though.

I tried to get into Mad Men but just couldn’t do it. It’s nothing but a daytime soap opera with a big set budget.

I watch Southpark reruns, Nazi & Alien conspiracy theory shows, and DVR the Powerblock on Spike. Wife does Pawn Stars on the DVR, & Storage Wars occasionally. All of the watching is by chance, and we don’t “follow” any primetime shows. We do things…

The Newsroom. It’s only ~6 episodes in. So far, I find it extremely well written, except for the fact that it’s basically an outlet for Aaron Sorkin to burn the tea party and fulfill his political agenda. I <3 Jeff Daniels.

Oh and you have to be at the very least, somewhat up to date with politics and international/national issues. It’s not a show for dumb people.

I really like the newsroom too but I figured coming from me they’d just call it liberal propaganda. Would be nice to get a real news show in real life though.
