Someone to cut some holes in a sheet of aluminum

Looking to have this pattern cut into a sheet of 1/8" aluminum. The sheet is about 18" x 26".

Working with this stuff killed my jigsaw. Thinking plasma cutter is the way to go.

I’ll have traced the pattern onto the metal. Cutting doesn’t need to be perfect as long as it’s inside (and relatively close to) the lines; I’ll go back and clean things up with a file or flapper wheel.

could you use a router with circle attachment?

roto zip!

Hmm… With their “XBit”?

Looks like it’s rated up to 18ga steel. Aluminum sheet is 3x that thickness… but it’s aluminum.

Will pick up an xbit and a bit of beeswax parafin wax. Have read that it keeps the shavings from sticking to the saw blade.

mill and a rotary table would be the way to go

Rotozip = FAIL

Anyone with the right gear want to make a couple of bucks?

Waterjet? That’s how I would cut this. Is it a shroud for fans on a radiator?

Have you tried a metal blade on a jigsaw, then a flapper wheel to finish?

I did. I got through cutting about 30 inches of it, then the jigsaw died.

Between now having to replace my jigsaw and blowing $20 on a rotozip bit that won’t do the job… I just want to pay someone who’s got the right gear for the job.

It is indeed a radiator shroud.

Waterjet would probably do it- any suggestions for a place that’d do a one-off job like this for a reasonable amount?
