just use aircraft remover, works great and you dont have to worry about too rough of a surface

pm lowlyoilburner.I know they do vapor blasting at where he works and its much better than media

vapor blasting is a form of media blasting. The difference is that it uses water to carry the media which has advantages over dry media blasting. I believe that the process of baking soda blasting that Jessie uses includes water which would make it a form of vapor blasting.

I’ve been to Jesse’s shop and had a bunch of stuff done. The soda blasting should be perfect for aluminum. I have to take a hood down to him sometime soon. I don’t think he mixes water with it though - at least the bay and parts were dry. I do make sure to wash the parts good with simple green before priming/painting.

Good to know. I will need to do some of this in the near future…what is Jesse’s screen name…?

he’s good people.

Thanks.

+322765 for Jesse. He has done my entire car, and just did my chassis.

is media blasting when you take multiple stereo systems and tune them all to 88.7am. then place item desired in front of speakers. Crank the media and watch the wheels paint just chip off!

jk =)
