Picked up a pair of subframe connectors for my 69 mustang. Looking to have someone do the prep and weld them on. The problem is the car needs the suspension loaded. Like its on the ground. So either you need a drive on lift, or a damn hole in the ground. Nobody wants to put it on Jack stands and weld upside down. Talked to a couple on here already. Drew and John. So who had a 4 post lift and wants to do about 2 hours of work?
Use a regular lift and use 4x4 or 6x6 to load the suspension . Welcome to use my lift and welder. I only know how to use the lift though.
Thx for the offer… But I’ll see if anyone on here has a drive on. Plus I can only operate a lift and not weld.
I can offer zero assistance, except that the car looked good at C&C
Thank you. Long road ahead with it. But it’s finally getting somewhere. So much was broken and old when I picked it up.
Try S&S Auto Body of Clarence. I know they do a bunch of stuff on classic cars such as rear ends, mini-tub, sub-frame, etc. I don’t know what kind of lift they have though. Might be better off looking for a frame shop.
Thx. Will contact.
Passing lane auto in sanborn. They are fabricating the exhaust on my 240. They do lots of work on mustangs. Tell them I sent you. Dons pricing is very reasonable
Thank you. Your the 2nd person to recommend them.
what kind of condition are the frame rails in? are they all fucked up from jacking it up or are they still straight?
For being a 69 they are pretty damn straight. I think there is one small dent on the driver side front. But it’s farther forward to where the connector won’t even touch it.
id be willing to take a look and possibly do them. i set my car on 14" high boxes when i did mine…and they only sucked because it looked like someone to a hammer to the frame rails
Text you some pics of the condition of the frame rails.
might be interested
Thx Norb. Mike is going to do them in a couple weeks after he pulls the motor out on this race mustang.
